i bought this camera a week before going on vacation overseas and it takes great pics! and the quality is amazing with 12 mp. if you use the lcd screen alot it does go thru batteries quickly, but there is an option to turn it off and use the viewfinder which extends the battery life. options are very useful, small compact. good quality product.
Before buying this camera, I had a Nikon Coolpix 10mp camera, and I LOVE the canon. It takes great, high quality pictures, and it takes pictures quickly, especially outside when taking pics of the kids and dogs. Inside, when the flash is necessary it takes a little more time. The only think I miss about the Nikon is the touch screen, but the Canon is easy to use and wonderful!
This camera turned out to be more than I anticipated. I am very pleased with the ease of use and the fine quality of the photos taken even in a poorly lighted environment.
I bought a Canon PowerShot for my Mother, and she like it so much we bought another Cannon PowerShot for our friend! It takes beautiful photo's and it's easy to use - and 12.1MP, AMAZING!!
