I have used this monopod over the last three weeks and it seems to work fine. The quality is acceptable especially given the price. Overall it represents a good value. The leg locks are easy to use and feel solid. I don't abuse my equipment so I figure this can last for quite a few years. The only downside or feature, depending upon how you view it, is that the ball head on top does not hold tight. I can tighten it all the way and I can still force the ball head to tilt. I consider this a feature since it will allow me to quickly adjust the camera angle of view without having to untighten and retighten. I choose to use a monopod so that I can get steady photos and react quickly to the scene. The ball head "feature" supports my need for a quick response.
I believe I got a great deal on this monopod. It's easy to extend the leg to varying heights. And the clips make it much easier to secure than the last tripod I had. It seems very sturdy. I am vey pleased with my purchase.
