I am really disappointed. i purchased this battery to use a back up for my new camera. It does not communicate with my Canon 5D Mark II.

Canon LP-E6 Compatible Li-ion Battery
These batteries do not communicate status and identity to the camera as the Canon OEM batteries do. Additional battery life over OEM battery is the only useful attribute.

Great camera Battery
I'm very happy with this battery and would recommend it to anyone looking at it. The only issue (which it states in the product info) is my camera (Canon 60D) does not recognize the battery so you can't tell what life is left on the battery to use. My camera does ask when the battery is installed if this battery is ok to use or if you still want to use this battery and not be able to see what life the battery has. If I puch the yes button the camera takes photos just as well (no difference in quality or speed) as the brand name Canon batteries for this camera.

The description for this item is not correct
This product is advertised as "Canon LP-E6 Compatible". It is not. An inclusion states that it cannot be charged with the OEM charger. Also when attached to the camera (EOS-60D) a message is displayed stating that the camera cannot communicate with the battery. The first item was completely DOA, the above review is for the replacement. Very disappointing.

Works ok
As it says in the description, the camera cannot read the life of the battery, so when it dies, it does so without warning - possibly in the middle of a very important shot. But it's really inexpensive and seems to have a similar life as those from canon. Sooooo.... If you're doing important stuff and don't want to look like an idiot in front of your client, go with a canon battery. If you're shooting low budget stuff with people that understand those limitations, this is a very cheap alternative. And make sure to buy their charger too, because you can't use the canon charger.
