I don't think you can buy a better quality camera for the money. I have been shooting sports, alongside another photographer that has a 6,000 dollar Nikon Body. There is very little that his camera can do that this one can't. At 9 frames per second, it more than quick enough. The only drawback is the smaller sensor. When I bought the camera, I was choosing between the 7D and 5D. I shoot more sports, so the frames per second mattered to me. I used to be a landscape photographer when I was shooting film. Landscapes and portraiture aren't the same with the smaller sensor. Your wide angle lens now becomes a normal lens, causing you to loose depth of field. I am looking and waiting to buy the 5 D Mark II, hopefully the Mark III will bring the price down. They are both very good cameras, but I think each has it's specialty.
