Best price found for a brand new camera. Other big box stores, Amazon, and even small local retailers were way more expensive vs. Overstock. Best place to shop for online purchasing.Read More

I have had many cameras as a photographer, actually started out with Pentax, went to Nikon and now Im hooked on Canon products. They just seem to get it right every time. I had this camera with work for about a year and it's the best one I have ever used so I bought one for myself. The video is remarkable, 60 frames per second and you can watch it in slow motion right one the view finder. The photos are great. I am a manual shooter, I don't use the sports or other settings, so I can't say much about that. I came from the film days where we couldn't look at our shots when you took them, you just hoped when you developed them they were good. But the manual setting is perfect, white balance is spot on. I also bought the battery grip for extra battery life. Last forever on one charge. Highly recommend it. I will keep this camera forever, with 18 Mega pixels, that's about all you need. At my job, my photo was blown up and put on a Semi Truck and it looked great. It's the size of a Billboard. No need to go with higher Mega Pixel, 18 is plenty. My first magazine quality camera was 6 Megapixel and it still looked great on print. So don't be fooled by those higher Mega Pixel cameras, just stick to the Canon 7D.Read More
I have been a Canon camera guy since 1983 and alway true to the brand. As a professional photographer, I expect a lot from a camera and unfortunately, the 7D fails as it relates to the system's auto focus features. In spot focus mode, it's a great camera, but in AF (full auto focus) the images appear soft and out of focus, even though the camera has achieved a focal point. I had to return my camera back to Canon to be adjusted and while much improved, the issue still lingers in some images, even with the use of a tripod in bright light. Cameras in the lesser expensive Canon Rebel lineup seem to achieve a better auto focus than this model, including the T3i and the 450D. While Canon was certainly able to reduce this problem within my individual camera, I would have expected more from a Prosumer camera model aimed at the pro and pro/consumer market. While the 19 focal points are a great idea, Canon needs to go back to the drawing board on this model.Read More
I have been toying with making this purchase for some time. The camera is very expensive and I wanted to make sure I did as much research as possible. This camera is a jewel!!!! Just holding it is exciting! The picture quality and overall performance is excellent and surpasses my expectations. The camera came quickly and the price was very good. I also purchased the 4 year warranty and cannot say enough great things about this purchase. Any one from a beginner to a professional photographer would enjoy taking photos with this camera. For anyone who has not held this camera, you need to know, it is very gutsy (beefy) and it does have some weight behind it. You just know you are holding a great solid camera even before you start taking pictures. For those who like a lightweight camera, this one is not for you.Read More
