Some may not be very photogenic (a few are downright photo-phobic!) but everyone loves memories. Cameras make great memories, and the electronics revolution has made cameras even better.
Film cameras have been around for over a century. The 35mm camera (especially the "single lens reflex" or SLR camera) is the industry mainstay and "automatic point and shoot" or APS cameras are a great innovation--no more fuzzy photos! The mini camera is convenient--carry in any pocket, shoot anytime. Motion picture film cameras capture home movies anywhere, anytime.
Digital cameras came to market in the late 1990s and digital photography went ballistic! Most professionals gave up film cameras in favor of digital camera flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
