It is a good value for the money. I just needed a basic product, nothing fancy. I like the flashing light feature that lets me know when someone has called. The only down side is that it is not backlit. Not a big deal though.
This caller ID (I do not use the call waiting function) has to be one of the best values on the Internet. It is small and easy to program, install, and use. Plus it is white in color, a must for me. I'd recommended it to anyone.
I purchased this for my elderly father, who has trouble with our new area code system. We now have to dial the area code and the number even for local calls because they added another area code. With this caller id he can hit the "10" button and it will redial the area code and number for him. If it is not a local call he can hit the "11" key and it adds a 1 first. I had to explain it to him, so I guess the instructions weren't quite clear enough for him, but now he really likes it. He has always relied on his caller id to make phone calls and this really helped when they added the area code.
