Not worth the price
from Evansville, IN,  Oct 29, 2006

Frequency selector quit working after only 2 months of intermittent use. Only 4 frequencies available and slight interference on each of them. Unit does not lock Ipod securely in place, so the Ipod slides around . Save your money and buy DLO. This piece of junk was on Overstock.com for a reason.

It Broke
 Oct 2, 2006

The reasons why I did not like this product: 1. Too Bulky. I always had to take it out of the cigar lighter to put my car into park. 2. It stopped working after 2 weeks. 3. Do i need any more reasons?

SO FAR SO GOOD
from Albany NY,  Dec 26, 2006

I have used this with my Nano for a few weeks now in multiple vehicles with 95% static-free listening. I had the Tune Base FM Belkin transmitter which was $80 and it was horrible, I picked up static and all kinds of interference all the time pretty much...that went back and this one has taken its place. You cannot beat the price on this one.

Waste of money!
from Bakersfield, CA,  Dec 25, 2006

I bought this item and it only worked for a day. I thought it was defected, so I returned it to get another one. The second one worked for about 2 weeks, but again stopped working. I am now conviced that this item is not worth its money.

Not bad for the price.
Anonymous  from Arkansas and Mississippi,  Jul 12, 2006

I bought this over a year ago now and have used it almost every day since then. Due to school, I did a great deal of long distance driving and it worked great with audiobooks. With that being said, I must say that I live and drove through a great deal of rural farm land with great reception, but in larger cities would experience a great deal of static on all channels. Therefore, I would recommend it for someone in less populated areas, but if you are looking for something for your morning commute in a city, you will want to go with something a little higher end.

Car ipod adapter
from Colorado springs, Co,  Dec 4, 2006

This did not hold my ipod nano well and I could never get a good signal to play the music. The music was garbled when it picked up other stations and the product has never served any useful purpose.

This is a great gadget for your iPod! My only complaints, which are minor, is that you only have 4 radio channels to choose from: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, and 88.7. If these four stations are being used, then you're out of luck as one needs to be completely static for transmission. Another note is that this only works in the car and can't be used to transmit to a home stereo. Other than that, I love it! Extremely easy to use - no set up needed or downloading of stations like other similar accessories.

Horrible
 Sep 28, 2006

I bought this for my ipod nano because it says on the description that it is good for ipod, ipod mini, and ipod nano. But when i got it did hold an i pod nano and the audio quality was horrible! I read the reviews and thought these people are crazy... no this product is soo bad. I am returning it right away.

Great reception, didn't last long
from Draper, UT,  Jun 19, 2006

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and at first, it seemed to work great. It was a little flimsy, but the reception was great, and for the price, it seemed worth it. Just a few months later, the screw broke off and the stand no longer stays connected to the base so we can't use it. Rather than buy another one only to replace again, I'm going to spend a little extra money for better quality that will last longer...and save me money in the long run.

Good value for the price
from San Francisco, CA,  Jan 27, 2007

I'm very happy with this car kit and I've been using it for 1 month with little trouble. It's very easy to set up and use. I drive a manual stick shift and it doesn't compromise my driving at all. It's so small and simple, when I get out of the car I just take it out of the lighter and hide it or take it with me. No trouble with reception, even in my city neighborhood. The only trouble is with it being top heavy--it sometimes falls out of the lighter while I'm driving. But overall it's a good value for the price.

big regret
 from PA,  Jan 17, 2007

This FM Transmitter was mediocre when it worked. With only 4 stations to pick from, chances of a clear connection are slim, but it wasn't bad all in all. Too bad it stopped working completely after only two weeks. Spend your money elsewhere.

CAUTION!!
 from Florida,  Dec 23, 2006

This product is terrible. The only time it worked, it picked up all kinds of alternator noise from my vehicle, as well as static and other interference. Shortly there after, it totally wrecked my iPod, making me have to send it in to Apple to be replaced. DO NOT BUY!!

Do not buy
from Indianapolis, IN,  Sep 20, 2006

When I first used this product it work perfectly. Untill I got into a major city. It became fuzzy and It was pointless. I haven't gotten it to work with out the fuzzy noiese sense. The stations cut in and out and my ipod never has a clear signal. It was a complete waste of money. I did receive my order shortly after I purchased it.

Can't get it to work
from San Jose, CA,  Sep 12, 2006

I plugged the unit in, and it does take over an FM station, but I get no sound. At this time I can't recommend it to anyone. I'm still trying to get it to work. Also, my outlets are flat, so the unit flops forward with the iPOD's weight. It charges the iPOD great; if I could get the sound to work, then I could recommend it.

Gets in the way at first
 from Milwaukee,  Aug 20, 2006

While this thingy is hard to keep in place and hold at the perfect angle, it does work quite well. WIth the four presets I have not had any problems finding a frequency that works. My wife uses a more expensive model, one that finds a frequnecy for you, and that one is a piece of junk...I recommend this product, but be ready to be intially frustrated with the extender bar and the angle at which it hodls the IPOD. Also not recommended for the newer 30 or 60gb models, they are too large for the holder and this works much better with a nano

Junk!!!!!
from Detroit, MI,  Aug 19, 2006

I brought this item in April. I read the reviews and was aware of the possible static issues. However, this piece of junk just stop working today. I would just stay away from this item. If your are in the market for a product to play your i-pod in your car look for another product.

Stopped working
 from VA,  Jul 27, 2006

I was so excited to find this product and then when I got it the quality was disappointing. I had a hard time placing it in my car because of the gear shift and the product itself did not feel sturdy. The audio quality was fine for a few weeks but then it just stopped working. I get so much static on all of the stations that its not worth trying to listen to my music. Buy something else!
