Buffalo MiniStationLite HD-PEU2 Hard Drive

I bought this drive for the price over some other manufacturers. The drive works as promised (I bought two of them). Looks better than the pictures can show. The top casing is a shiny clear black plastic with the Buffalo logo in white. When plugged in there is a small round blue "activity" light that illuminates in one corner through the black plastic and there is a white light that lights up the Buffalo logo. Some people may not like that the shiny casing leaves fingerprints. I care that the drive works and is reliable and portable, which this drive does perfectly. The cable that comes with it is kind of short, 12 inches. Good for carrying around but may be inconvenient for someone that has a tower on the floor and wants the drive on top of a table or or a spot where the operating light is visible to you. Also the USB miniport on the drive side is recessed in a manner that not all of my cables fit this port because of the shape of the hard plastic of the plug. SO, although the port is a standard mini USB a longer cable the fits this drive may be hard to find unless you trim the plastic of the plug of the cable to fit this port. Overall , Good drive with odd shortcomings.
