I ordered this microphone for my 15 year old son to use for digital music recording on the computer. We received it in just 2 or 3 days along with some music software we ordered as well. As soon as he got it he went over to his friends to stay the night and record some music. First thing the next day he had a song recording for us to listen to and it sounded amazing; very professional. I was originally concerned with the power of this mic but that was not an issue at all, in fact one of the only suggestions I had was to turn it down just a little on the next recording because of how powerful it actually is. I did lots of reviewing before buying this mic and was very impressed with the Blue Microphone web site. I felt from web site to product to price, they offered the best overall. After receiving it and checking it out, I believe I was right. The Yeti is very beefy, rugged, rich, and versatile. It comes mounted on a desk stand but you can remove it and attach it to a full size stand also. In my opinion, you cannot buy a better mic for the money.

I purchased this item from another "online" seller, simply because it was cheaper. The mic came shrink wrapped, in its original package, and brand new. The microphone worked flawlessly while I did a two hour radio show, and then, the system reported the microphone was disconnected, and wanted to know if it should forget the device. The cable was still plugged in, and the light on the Yeti was still on. Checking the connected devices, reported it was no longer connected. I contacted Customer Support for Blue Microphones, and after a few days of email back-and-forth, it was determined that the USB cable had gone out. When Blue Microphones asked for my invoice, I emailed them my "online" purchase invoice, and then they reported they can not help me. In lesser words... Go through the seller, not them. Hopefully, if you purchase this item, from "ANY" online seller, other than from Blue Microphones, you won't have any problems with it, or you might just be SOL. Sorry to be so blunt, but, then again, thats what Blue Microphones Customer Service deals out.
