Blackberry Chrome Ring Green Trackball Replacement

With proper installation the trackball works as it should.

I purchased the BB chrome green ring/trackball and was very satisfied with my purchase. I had previously needed to replace my trackball once before and took it to a phone store. They charged me $35 to replace it. It would have been more had I not had the pieces with me. Nonetheless, after I broke it again I decided to replace it myself. It was very easy. My purchase took a bit longer than I wanted, but that was the only drawback. However, it did arrive as noted on my tracking order. One of the posts on the ring was a bit bent, This caused a few issues when I initially tried to install the ring. After taking a close look I spotted the issue. I carefully bent the post in the proper position and installed it in my BB with no issues. Haven't had any problems since. I recommend this to anyone that has broken/lost their trackball/ring. Very easy to install and I am happy with my purchase.

I replaced the faulty trackball because it wouldst move up and it wouldn't select. The replacement moved better and selected although its not smooth. I have to put pressure on it for a proper response. This may be a problem with the phone as it is almost time for my discounted upgrade. Better than the one it replaced, but not perfect.

Trackball looked good, but hardly worked. It was very difficult to get anything to move using this replacement. It's not worth enough to spend the time to take it to the post office and return, so I just threw it away. I guess you get what you pay for. I bought another one at the phone store and that one works perfectly.
