  • Good, basic bluetooth transmitter

    The bluetooth transmitter worked well, and paired with my Sony DR-BT101 headphones with no trouble. I connected the USB cable to the USB port on my TV to power the transmitter / keep it charged, and that works well. * Be sure to read the included instructions for how to pair the device - it's not obvious. I found that once the transmitter is paired to the headphones, I need to turn the headphones on, then turn the transmitter on. They then connect within a few seconds. If I then turn the headphones off and then back on, they won't connect. It seems that the transmitter will only connect to the headphones when it is first powered on. So I need to make sure that I always turn both the transmitter and the headphones off, and then when I want to use them, I have to turn the headphones on, then turn the transmitter on. If I could have completely hidden this transmitter behind the TV, having it connect to the headphones when the headphones are turned on, I would have given it 5 stars. Having to turn it off and on each time works, but is an extra step that I was hoping to avoid.

  • Great Bluetooth Transmitter

    I play guitar and placed the Bluetooth Transmitter on the headphone output of my 12 channel audio mixer. I use a set of Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones to hear the mix. The Universal Bluetooth Transmitter performs flawlessly. I can get uninterrupted audio throughout my entire apartment. This is a great device!

Can I use this with TV audio, and, if so, can I restore sound output to the TV by turning off the transmitter or must I disconnect the transmitter from the audio jack on the TV each time? grampapete on Mar 1, 2013

Thank you for your question. This adapter works for all devices with sound output through 3.5mm connector jack. It’s actually the TV’s setting on resuming the TV audio output by either disconnect or no need to disconnect the adapter. overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 5, 2013
 
I had to connect it to the audio output of my cable box - the audio out from my TV (a relatively new Samsung LED) was not sufficient to drive the audio. The advantage of this setup is that audio to the Bluetooth transmitter and audio to the TV are independent. So, when using the Bluetooth adapter, I just turn down the audio on the TV, and listen on my Bluetooth headphones. greybeardedgeek on Apr 22, 2013

This is a simple Bluetooth transmitter Plug 3.5mm jack into the MP3 player, and this adapter will transmit audio signal through Bluetooth connection, and you can listen to the music through paired Bluetooth headset. This item itself has a built in battery, which could be charged through the USB cable that is provided in the package, there is no need to plug into the vehicle for power. The adapter will connect to any paired Bluetooth headset automatically, there is no need to push a button for sync. This adapter is not a water proof device.
