I've done a lot of trial and error in purchasing subs over the years, and I've owned the klipsch 12", Velodyne and Polk, and with-out a doubt, the BIC is even a little better than them through my experience. It gives a much deeper base, and also louder. The others give a tight base, but you want and need the deep rumble bass for home theater and music. It truly is house shaking bass. These are best put in the corner, about 6 inches from the wall, at an angle facing out at you (catty-corner). I actually run 2 of them, one on top of the other, and the bass is absolutely incredible. Really, I definitely recommend this sub in a good set-up. I have Harman Kardon AVR-7200 receiver, Klipsch RF-83 front's and BIC Acoustech (it has to be the acoustech CINEMA line, as they are the top rated hifi series) for surround, so just wanted to let everyone know I am not just another reviewer not knowing what I'm talking about. You will love this subwoofer. Hope this helps someone.

This is just flat out an awesome sub, and a great value. This is my second sub from BIC, and this really delivers. If you are looking to put the finishing touches on your system, this sub offers deep, clean, low, thundering bass. The only problem I've had was out of the box it played very low. I sent the amp board to BIC via UPS on a Monday, and on that friday I had it back and playing perfect.

So I was having problems with my 8inch powered sub for a little while and after searching for about 6 months. overstock had the best products for the specs and cost. so i went forward with this model. and yeah no problems. set up was how it should be and the sound is very clean and loud!!!. i turned down the bass on my fronts cause i just wanted to keep turning it up. yes it can handle it without reservation.it looks nice too the top of the beast has a smooth mirror like black finish hot!! so yeah buy it but only if you have a single family home.. common walls or close neighbors would not be in approval. oh the explosions via movies.. almost startled me

The subwoofer arrived in great shape very quickly. Set up was not so smooth, I had a bad cable! A quick call to customer service, (late in the day Pacific TIme) resulted in a call back the next morning. Once we figured out what it was, and the correct setting on my Onkyo reciever, we had booming bass! I have it in the automatic mode, and it works great at low levels, high levels, and in between. I have tried all my sources with it, HDTV, DVD, CD, etc. and am completely satisfied.

This is a nice sub for the money. You won't be disappointed.

This is a great subwoofer. If you are thinking of buying one, buy two for the great price! We have a moderate home theater system-not real high end at all (HK receiver, DTV, 13 year old Infinity center, tower and JBL proIII surrounds (15 years)). This sub blows the rest away. It is not muddy or punchy. It is thumpy and rumbly--exactly what you want for movies and music. Our room is really big, 30 x30 and this unit covers the room very well. Check out the forums on the net, the hoi polloi will poo poo this unit, but your ears and your wallet will dig it! The wife and/or the gf will thank you later because you are so awesome!

got this bad boy in 3 days the packaging was kind of damaged just some holes on the box,set up took bout 30 mins very easy.when i heard the first boom i was sold i new i had made the rite choice going with this subwoofer after reading all of these reviews,its a must have you wont be disappointed go for it!!! :))

I finally got it to work and it was awesome. came out of the box without any scratch. received the package very fast. Its a excellent buy for me.

I replaced my old cheap sub that came with my HT in a box from years ago. I must say the difference is night and day between them. This one produces so much bass that it shakes my entire house. Watching action movies has never been the same since I got this SUB. I'm so impressed by by the BIC Acoustech quality i'm now going to replace all my speakers with them.

For the price I paid, I'm extremely happy with the BIC H100. After calibrating it, this subwoofer fills the room in which my home theater resides with deep, punchy bass, and it blends in perfectly with the rest of my equipment. It is well built and has plenty of controls in its rear panel. I gave it 4 stars because I wish the warranty was longer than 2 years.

I really made the correct call in ordering this sub. I cannot believe the sound quality and power of this thing. My wife almost passed out when she saw the size of it - right there I knew I made the correct call when she said it was too big and too loud!!! I have never purchased a BIC product before but after hours of research for a sub I am very happy with how clean it sounds.

Very nice looking unit, sounds very good to me for the price.. Unit was shipped & I received it when they said it would be delivery to me. I would tell anyone that if you could better with price I truly be surprise.

A very powerful subwoofer, with outstanding sound production.

I was skeptical about buying this but after reading the reviews here I went ahead and bought it. I was replacing a Cerwin Vega subwoofer that I had for 3 years. Once I opened the box I was surprised how nice it looked. I plugged it in to my Yamaha receiver and WOW, I was blown away with how hard this sub hits. I dont know how long the break in period is but it just keeps getting better. The lows are great. no distortion what so ever. I would not hesitate to get another one. If you like crisp clean bass with out paying a huge amount of money then this is the sub to get..

I bought the Accoustech H100 about three weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I was replacing my complete surround/vidio system and wanted to replace an unpowered subwoofer that I was using. I did a fair amount of research, and after reading the reviews on the Accoustech, decided to give it a try. The price was certainly right. After setting up the speaker and doing some experimenting with location and volume setting, I knew I had made a good choice. The sound is excellent, the cabinet is very attractive, and the instructions and set up were easy. I would definately recommend to other shoppers.

I did a fair amount of research before buying this subwoofer. I have not been disappointed. I keep the volume at about 1/5 of the max, and it still shakes the walls in most of my house. It's got very clear, deep bass and has been very reliable. It's been awesome. This performs at a level comparable to much more expensive subs.

This subwoofer is coupled with a Yamaha receiver and the results are amazing!! My walls literally shake when the volume is set only half way. The bass that comes out of this woofer is excellent and does not overtake the sounds of the movie or whatever it is you are watching. Highly recommended! My room is about 15x20.
