I bought this to replace an old radar detector. It was worth the purchase. This is a great detector. I looked long and hard into either this model vs the Escort 8500. I read multiple threads and webpages and finally, decided to go with the Beltronics and could not be happier. I liked the audio in addition to the screen/beeping indications. I would gladly buy another beltronics, however, with this I know I will be set for quite some time.

Have used 4 weeks now, has great range, no false alerts on autoscan, no false laser alert driving into the sun, has voice alerts that are not annoying, has alerted me several times to traps(officers here use mostly Ka). Highly recommended.

I bought this radar detector after i did a lot of research on the net for the best price , options and quality, after buying my bmw 535 xi. I found out that this model for the price was a great buy , this model is ranked number four on the list of the best five choices. The other top three were hundreds more and for my need which are local this one was the best buy. I shop over stock all the time love the deals and quality and speed of arrival of the orders this one works good.

This the third beltronics radar detector I have owned in fifteen years, and is by far the best. It comes with a very nice carrying case which is great for traveling. I especially like the mute button on the DC power cord since I don't have to take my eyes off the road to mute it. Great sensitivity and range. As long as you pay attention, it will not let you down. Great choice, very happy, and the best price!

I've had it for about 2 weeks and it's working great so far. All the parts were there and also came with the extended warranty. This was a great buy!

I own a delivery company and I drive on an average of 8000 milies a month all over USA and have used all sorts of radars and by far this radar is the best one out their period, dont waste your money on anything else and take my advise buy this radar and thank me later

We bought this detector for a trip from Chicago to Columbus Georgia. It worked just as described and was very helpful driving in areas we were not familiar with. I would resommend this detector without hesitation.
