Bell and Howell Red S5 Slim 12MP Digital Video Camera

As a customer of Overstock.com for several years this is the first time I've had to return an item. I should've suspected something was awry when I couldnt find a decent review on the camera anywhere else online. When I recieved the camera I immediately found it had a cheap feel to it, ok I can deal with that. However, I cannot deal with buying what I believe to be a 12MP camera and it is in fact not .The camera claims to go UP TO 12MP via interpolation when you read the instruction manual, something this site does not tell you. I found the picture quality to be severely lacking and cloudy/blurry while my 8.2 MP Kodak took much better pictures! Dont even bother using the Auto-flash-you wont even begin to see the picture as it gets washed out. The only reason I gave the product a star at all is for movie mode which was actually quite decent and crisp. Other than that I strongly recommend you do not buy this camera at all.

camera took really poor and blurry photos. it was not user friendly although it had many functions. It may be good for a kid. I'll go back to the Kodak camera series.

I needed a small digital camera for a wedding. I was very pleased and surpised with the performance of this one. Very easy to use and good buy for the price.

This is a slim model camera that my 12 yr old is figuring out quite easily. It has a wonderfully large display screen and slides into pockets with ease. She loves to mess with the color alterations and shutter speeds it offers and films easily. My only gripe would be that when it said voice record I assumed that the video option would have sound. To my knowledge it does not thus far all video is silent. You just record little sound bites to play back.
