I purchased this product because my cable guy suggested that this would improve (or stabilize) the quality of my DSL signal, because I was using a regular phone cord. According to the package, this cable was supposed to be the highest quality and would improve the speed of my signal because of improved data transfer. I did a speed test to determine the before and after rates with the old phone line and the new cable, and, to my surprise, the rates were exactly the same. I got no improvement whatsoever! Based on that, I can't recommend this product because it did not perform as advertised, and was definitely not worth the extra expense.

I am using this cable to connect from an AT&T Motorola 2210 DSL modem to the phone outlet on the other side of the room. I subscribe to the 6 Mb service and am getting 6.4 Mb per sec so the throughput on this cable appears to be excellent.
