Coby MPC893 2GB MP3 Player with Flash Memory

I was unable to download WMA files from an old flash drive onto the MP3 player. I contacted the company and the information they gave me was not useful. I had to copy the files onto a disc and download them. The sound quality is excellent, but the AAA battery does not last long. When I tried to add files to the player I had to reformat and start all over. It may be something I am doing wrong, but overall it is worth the price I paid.

Lots of memory for the price. For me, simple is best. I personally like being able to pick the order of my songs. I'm anti-shuffle. A display screen of what's playing would be a nice extra, but I hardly ever even looked at the screen on my old one. I was hoping to be able to use it for downloaded audio books from the library, but it won't take that type of file. I had to borrow a couple of audio book CD's and copy them to the player. I was a little disappointed that this player can't charge through the computer port like my last one, you need an AAA battery. I found a rechargable AAA battery kit on sale at the grocery store and keep a spare charged so I always have an extra on hand. The battery that came with the MP3 player was just a cheapie one that didn't last as long as the name brand ones.

Bought this for my mother and she has used it almost every day for the last couple of weeks while cleaning and working. Seems to be fairly easy to use, as she had no problems and is not that familiar with computers.

MP3 players are new to me but I wanted something that I could carry when I was walking. It is lightweight and easy to use. Very simple and easy to transfer music from computer, just plug it in to usb and transfer music files. The sound quality is great. I didn't neccesarily care for the earphones because they didn't really fit my ears that well but it was such a great deal, I purchased earbuds that fit my ears perfectly from overstock.com. Both purchases were GREAT DEALS! If you are on a budget and want something simple to use that works great....... this is the deal for you.

I should have paid better attention to the description, I just saw the awesome price and bought it because of that. This player has no display screen, which I don't mind living without but it's nice to have. This player also doesn't do anything at all except play one file after the order. There is no random play function - which is pretty annoying for me personally. I do like that you can stick it right on the USB port without fooling with an extra wire - I have a collection of those wires and didn't want another one. If you don't need a display screen or random function or equalizer or radio or anything else - then this is the one for you. I also don't like ear buds, but all of them come that way so I just buy my own ear phones.
