I would 100% agree with the other review by moving shadow. The speakers sound wierd unless you have your laptop against a flat surface. External speakers/headphones are a must, but that is the same for most laptops. It took me about 30 minutes to first boot it up and watch all the compenents load for the first time, otherwise it boots really fast and I have had very little complications. I even upgraded the RAM with ease. Two screws is all you have to undo on the bottom of the laptop and you can easily upgrade. The hard drive runs a little louder than I'd like, but it doesn't detract from the performace.All in all this was an amazing value and an awesome investment. :)
I am still using it and reviewing it myself. I have been using it for about 3.5 weeks now. The only issue I had with the order is that on the specs listed for the machine it shows that it has a 7200 RMS hard drive. I found out that it is actually a 5400! Be warned. I plan to put in a 7200 speed drive. Battery life is pretty low about 2.5 hours although I run the maxed out resolution on it. Speaker positions are the only bad thing about this laptop. They are pointing downward to reflect against a flat service. The machine boots up fast and is ready to go. I have been carrying it around in a backpack using and old HP case and so far it been decently robust. Had no problems getting on any open Wi-Fi networks. The resolution is great for a 15.4 inch screen. There ARE interlaced lines in the display but barely noticeable- you can notice them but for games everything works really well - great color great performance. World of Warcraft and Eve - the two games I play work really well.I would recommend getting a pair of small Logitech speakers or something the like to use this with sound or use headphones for better sound than the included speakers provide.Otherwise the track-pad is great, accurate and has a nice bult in scrolling feature on the pad itself.
