I gave 4 stars because of the power supply and loud fan. I bought a new CG1330-07 for my mother when her desktop failed. Previously I was on the phone at least once a month helping her adjust some issue with the computer. After getting her set up, there were a few calls regarding Windows 7 but no issues with the hardware. After 6 mos, I decided I was going to look for a buy a new computer for the kids and saw this refurbished version at a great price - I bought it and have not regretted it since. It handles the processing of my FLIP camera downloads and digital camera editing with ease. Surfing the internet is quick and smooth, along with file access. Much faster than my 2004 Sony (but not as fast as some of my friends much pricer computers). The video card is sufficient for my graphics & photos and the DVD writer is very quick and stable (no-coasters yet). I like the placement of the USB ports and the memory card reader as I have the unit beside my desk on the floor and easily access them. There are some weak points: the power supply is sized to handle the current configuration, any add ons like additional hard drives or graphics card would likely need a higher wattage unit. I also notice a cooling fan is getting louder with age. The keyboard took some getting use to - a bit light and the keys are flat across not beveled for definition. I had such great luck, I just bought a refurbished LED monitor with higher resolution to use with it today. All in all, I would buy another and just might, as my Sony is doing well as an archive but getting long in the tooth.

I purchase the same system thru tiger direct and it rattled components were not connected and returned it to TD with much difficulty. I then saw it here on overstock and it is cheaper so I ordered it, delivery was very quick and customer service at O is outstanding. Well I opened the box connected the system and it seemed to be perfect then screen dumps and rebooting constantly, so I called and Overstock customer service had the new one shipped even before I could get to UPS to return....EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT Asus does not quality control their refurbs. Sorry to say the second system was delivered so quick but has memory module problems this system barely stays up so I again called and spoke with CS and the gentleman figuered out that the ram is faulty so he already sent the ram to me and I will install it myself(my choice) and hope all is well then. The big O has been outstanding even offering exchange or refund, they are truly about customer service and satisfaction.I WILL ALWAYS USE OVERSTOCK IN THE FUTURE AND RECOMMEND EXTREMELY HIGHLY. Just a note i usually build systems with ASUS components so when I saw this system prebuilt I wanted to try it, somewhat dissappointed in the quality but I realize in prebuilt systems they use cheaper components than I would..

Upon initial startup, operating system failure, indicating corrupted files. No media and/or built in recovery image was included to reinstall OS. OS recovery tools are failing to remedy corruption issue. Overstock started giving me a hassle and wanted to have an someone contact within two days to troubleshoot. I had to escalate to get the rma for the refund.
