I am what most would call a, "Gadget Junkie." I love the latest and the greatest gadget but I also have a budget which is why I decided to go with this tablet for my photography business. I am also an 'Android Guy' and not too fond of the 'i-Products' but being a gadget guy, I have an iPad Air. This tablet is very sluggish once your RAM usage is at 50% (tablet only has 1gb of RAM but still shouldn't become sluggish at 50%). When I say sluggish I mean you tap an icon and then you have to wait 3-7 seconds for the tablet to respond. For example, With only the bloatware (Apps already on the tablet when you receive it-which you cannot delete/remove unless you root the device) the tablet is responsive as you would expect it to be. I open Netflix, email and a couple of small applications and all of a sudden the tablet's responsiveness becomes noticeably slower. This is unacceptable when conducting business so I considered giving the tablet to my daughter in college. My daughter loved the screen, and I do too, but she also noticed a frustrating lag once she was in Facebook and Instagram while having Netflix running in the background to her Chromecast. She asked could I get her an iPad or something faster instead. This brings me to my other issue with this tablet which is, "The tablet restarts at least twice a day right in the middle of working. This is really frustrating and should not happen. One last issue is the battery life. I am not complaining because the tablet does last approximately nine hours on one charge with minimal use. An iPad lasts days. Once again, I AM NOT A FAN OF THE I-PRODUCTS AND WOULD RECOMMEND AN ANDROID because of their flexibility but if your android tablet is slow, restarts and has poor battery life you should try another android tablet or another product in general. Overall, I really loved the look and feel of this tablet but it needs more power and a few bugs fixed. Hope this helps in your decision.
Sorry I bought a refurbished tablet. Was very sluggish at best. Kept freezing up when using e-mail and facebook. Volume button & on/off button were hard to use when in the cover I purchased that was recommended for this tablet. Had a *** before this and loved it but it broke and couldn't be fixed.
Amazing tablet! I'm so happy with it. Note to other buyers; if you get a refurbished one like I did, it does Not have the manuals or the microfiber cleaning cloth like a new one will but you don't need the manual. If you can run your cell phone you can run this tablet. And as soon as you connect your Wifi it will automatically update the Android OS from the 4.0 it ships with to 4.2! Yeah baby! If you want the best tablet on the market, (See CNET or ZDNET if you don't want just my word) buy the TF700. Even a refurb, You won't regret it.
