Arnova G2 7" 4 GB Tablet Computer

I bought this tablet for my 5 year old. I did my research and found this one was the best bang for my buck and had all but one of the features I wanted. It didn't have access to the full Android Market, instead it has an app called AppsLib, a more limited market for apps. Seeing as this tablet was for a 5 year old, lack of a full Android Market was not a deal breaker. AppsLib has Angry Birds (original, Seasons, & Rio)! The tablet is a bit on the heavy side & the metal back does heat up from hand holding during use. Other than that, this tablet is great. We just used it on a 10.5 hour road trip. With the movies I put on a 16GB Micro SD card I also purchased from O.co, and games downloaded from AppsLib, she was content for the whole trip. The battery life is quite impressive for such an inexpensive tablet. She played & watched for a 6 hour stretch before we had to charge it utilizing an inverter in our vehicle. As with all tablets, I would strongly suggest a screen protector. I bought a larger dry application protector for a different 7" tablet and cut it down to fit the inset screen on the Arnova G2. Cases are also a bit hard to find. We opted to use a top zippered pouch for a larger tablet. It slides around a bit inside but is still well protected. I would definitely purchase this tablet again. I have even enjoyed using it too in those rare moments when I can get it away from her! As an FYI: We are a tech savvy, multi computer household with other tablets & computers in our home.
