I have used this product several times with my Magellan 1470T GPS unit and find it very stable. That said, it just sits on the dash and will likely move if you come to an abrupt stop. I do recommend the product.

Our GPS was always falling off the windshield and it was hard to get it adjusted. This item works very well and keeps it at the right angle. Doesn't impair your vision at all either. Would buy again.
