can files be transferred from windows 7, via usb?

Answer This Question
Yes, since its storage is Flash memory. However, whether or not the device in question can read/display the data from that file is a different issue. There are apps for andriod that you can get to read Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) files, etc.
