Looks like new, works like new, sounds like new. Generic packaging not a problem for me as for personal use. Purchased another for a gift and the kid scoffed at the open packaging! If your'e not a snotty kid and just want a good iPod for personal use, save some money here--

The product is very good for downloading and listening to your music. Quality of the sound is great. Unfortunately, it is so small that my 12 year old grandson lost it in the first week.

My purchase was not what I expected. The ear phones that came with it did not have volume adjustment as new models do. The unit did not come with any instructional material. I am not a wiz at using this type of device and have had to seek out assistance from friends in order to use it. I thought that by getting a refurbished item I was being "green", but if I had to do it over I would purchase new.

When I opened the box I thought pieces were missing this thing is so small! I just love it! I'm using my Ipod every day in the gym and running. The clip is strong to hold and headset is well designed. Great deal!

I love the shuffle; It's very easy to set up and use. I purchased a refurbished one and there is NO difference except it doesn't come w a Fancy box. I highly recommed it!

Each year, my company works with an organization where children who are victims of a violent or otherwise unhealthy home environment are placed. The teenagers live in group homes and at Christmas time, it's especially important for them to get gifts. Of course, they want the type of gifts that all teens want; many want ipods or similar. Thanks to Overstock.com, whom I turn to every year for gifts, I'm able to get quality gifts for the kids who are on my list, without breaking my bank. As in the past, this Ipod arrived in great condition. I haven't tried it, as the Ipod isn't for me, but I'm confident that the gift will be fine and well received. This ipod looks brand new, came with instructions that were neatly wrapped and the headphones are perfect. I'm sure this gift will be well received and make the holidays a little bit brighter for this child.

The ipod came fairly quickly with no problems. I was a little dissapointed with the quality of the product but it works fine.

I wanted this iPod to workout with, as I hated carrying around my larger iPod while jogging. This one is great b/c it just clips right to you, there's nothing to look at or mess with and it's easy to use while exercising (once you figure it out -- mine didn't come with directions). It doesn't have a visual component to it which might make it less useful in other situations, but I really like it for my purposes!
