The IPod Shuffle that we purchased is corrupt and will not allow iTunes to download. Our son, whom we purchased this for, is very disappointed as our we.

The original Shuffle is the Model T of iPods, and Overstock.com made it possible for this working Jane to have iPod technology too! No bells, no whistles, just my favorite tunes. Good battery life too.

I am extremely please with my Apple 1G iPod shuffle. I got it because I started walking again and wanted some entertainment. This was a great value! It came with a couple of scratches - - very light - - and works great. Just a little static in the headset occassionally. I would purchase this again, and intend to for my 7 yr old and 10 yr old for Christmas. They have used it almost more than me and I have to keep thier songs on my iPOd =) I have no problem with the refurb on this! It states it clearly in the info section that it is a refurb, so there should be no surpirse to anyone when you open the box and see the notice. Recommend you get one for the savings if you intend on use for daily exercise, jogging etc. No need to spend the extra to get a new one sweaty or thrown around in the gym bag or car when you are done with a workout!

The iPod worked but with some strange glitches for about a week. It then completely died. Obviously, the person who did the refurbishing did not fix whatever problem caused the unit to be returned by the first owner.

I bought this for a 13 year old niece who liked my shuffle, not the newer clip on shuffle. All software installed properly and the shuffle is loaded with her favorite tunes. She loves it and is a happy kid. I'd buy it again if you want the 1st generation shuffle.

This is epic. It works perfectly, although you have to charge it when you get it. Few scratches, but what do expect from it being refurbished? Perfect condition otherwise. It even came with a waterproof case and lanyard, an authentic apple software disk, and replaceable buttons and seals for the waterproof case. It's awesome, and sooo much better than the new shuffles. I use it everywhere i go now, and everywhere I can use it. Even in the car. Thanks Overstock. I did manage to find a cheaper one online, but not that much cheaper, and it didn't have as good of a return policy.

great value for the money, have ordered 3 more just like it for my grand children, and they find it far better then the new little Ipods that are on the market at the current time.

My dad bought two shuffles for Christmas 2005. My sister's quit working after a year, but mine still works perfectly two and a half years later. Being completely satisfied with mine, I bought one for my boyfriend for Christmas 2006, and it didn't work. Customer Service was fairly helpful and we got a refund for it. My advice to you is if you choose to purchase it, make sure you get the optional extended warranty on it.

Packaged nice...the ipod itself was scratched and cracked. Not happy...was to be a gift.

Got this for our 8 yr old grandson because he was so impressed with his mom's ipod. His bday was quite special because he felt very grown up to have his very own! By getting it through "O" I felt comfortable that if there was a problem they would rectify it..and if he "lost" it ..well, Grams would not have lost as much because the price was so good! Although published as refurbished" it certainly appeared perfect. All components, everything was in factory packaging! Very pleased!

I thought this was a great value for a gift for my husband. But after only having it 3 weeks, & not even getting through all 5 hours of music he has loaded, the headphones only play in one ear. Fuzzy connection into ipod. I did purchase the warranty & I am returning it for repair/replacement since it is under 30 days since purchase, but I don't think there should be anything wrong in that amount of time (refurbished or not). I hope it comes back repaired & does not need servicing again!

Bought this iPod to replace my other shuffle when it got fried at the gym. Was slightly apprehensive due to the reconditioned status. Received the unit quickly. A little didsappointed with the condition. I guess when they recondition these bad boys, they don't have a few extra minutes to wash them up or make them look nice. There were deep gouges in the body and ball-point pen markings all over the unit. It washed up fine with some rubbing alcohol and the gouges came out with fine-grit sandpaper, now it looks like new! Got the infamous green and yellow flashing lights after 1 week of light use around the house. Was able to repair it using tips from the web and it seems to be stable now. Overall a pretty good deal. I really like the gumstick style of iPod (i used it regularly as a USB thumb drive and don't want to mess with the silly dock and the silly iTunes software on the new shuffle) If I had it to do over again, i'd probably get another of these handy little guys. Overall a pretty good deal.

Lifesaver on a recent overseas flight. 18 hours of flying could be bourne while listening to "This American Life" on my handy Shuffle. Never had one, didn't think I needed one, now can't imagine being without it. Battery life excellent and recharging couldn't be simpler. Teeny tiny and convenient to slip into a pocket. Sound quality very good.

It was a present to my 11 year old and he is all smiles.
