Since mp3 players seem to continue to increase in quality, I wasn't really sure if I should spend my money on buying a new one. But, after finally choosing to go with an iPod nano, I searched for the best deal I could find with a non-shady type seller. And that lead me to overstock. I wanted to go with a simple, cheaper 2nd generation nano, but, considering the low price different, the better features, and the iTunes card that came with it, I was sold on the 3rd gen. It arrived in a timely manner, and it works absolutely perfectly, as do the earbuds, USB cable, and iTunes card which were all included with the deal. And, for those of you who aren't aware, the iPod (or at least the one I received) was refurbished. I have nothing against it, and, as I said, it works great. But I might have been a bit more reserved had I realized it had been previously used. Two thumbs up, I say.

The iPod works great. It did arrive with some scratches on the back, since it was refurbished. I had to re-install the sofware because the previous owner had used it on a Mac and I have a PC. But, now its fine, I suggest getting some protective case though, they are very sensitive!

Very surprisingly the IPOD came without any operational instructions or warranty. Not very user friendly because of that, contacting Overstock.

I didn't realize it was a reconditioned I-pod. No wonder it was cheaper than the Apple store!

The first one I received was defective but got excellent customer service with the Live Chat feature on Overstock.com. The new one arrived in the same week! the replacement was excellent, like New condition and well worth the price. First experience with overstock.com and have purchased several more items since then because of the wonderful customer service, merchandise and price.

the ipod works great, if you were new to ipod it did not come with any directions, had to work it out on my own, but not very hard

Like other reviewers said, this came formatted for a Mac; however, all I had to do was restore it to the default settings, which was very easy. It works great so far, and it was a lot cheaper than buying a brand new one. It was even less expensive than buying a refurbished one from the manufacturer's website. I had an ipod mini that was starting to die on me, but I didn't want to spend a lot on a new one, so this was perfect. The itunes gift card that came with it was a nice little bonus too!

Works just fine after you figure out how to use it.....did not come with any instructions, had to find them on line and download the manual.

I bought one for my daughter and myself; what a great value! Better prices than anywhere else! I was able to download music from my cd's and from itunes with no problems. I am also enjoying podcasts! I recommend this product to everyone!

I original purchased the Ipod Nano for myself but my teenage son took over ownership of the item and he loves it.

The 4gb Ipod with video works great. It's thin and small most times I just throw it in my pocket. The Armband is great for when I have physical therapy. I only wish I hand bought one with larger memory, but it does everything it advertises and though it's refurbished and comes w/o instructions you really don't need them. It's pretty much plug and play one you download iTunes and import whatever want to it. Always wanted an Ipod and I like it so much I'm sure I'll be getting one with larger memory in the future. For price I recommend it for everyone, and don't be turned off by the packaging, it's a great product. Oh yeah the giftcard isn't alot but I got some cool videos, it's nice to have for getting that one song or video you always wanted. I use my Ipod everyday, If your like me and love meditation, load it up with guided meditations and relax. ENJOY!!

Worth the money. I have enjoyed the iPod very much. I like the size because it is small and will fit into a pocket or my purse and doesn't take up much space.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase a refurbished nano, however, after reviewing the statistic that only 2% of the reburbished nanos have additional problems, I decided to take the risk. I need to premise my review with the fact that I'm not a genius with electronics. The nano arrived and was programmed in Chinese or Japense. The fact that the nano arrived without an owner's manual proved to be quite problematic when trying to re-program the language into English. After 2 1/2 hours, I was able to reprogram it using the online manual found at apple.com. The second problem was it was initially formatted to a Mac. After rectifying that problem I was able to transfer my songs onto the nano. After a seven hour process from start to finish, I plugged in the headphones to listen to the nano and only one earbud worked. After speaking with tech support at Overstock.com, it was evident that I had revceived a nano with a faulty headphone jack. When I questioned the 2% quote listed on overstock's website, I was told that that statistic is a bit off. About 5% of the nanos need to be returned due to additional problems and I had received one of the 5%. I must say that tech support was very apologetic and a different nano arrived at my door two days later. I had the second nano up and running in about 30 minutes. I'm not sure if saving 23% is worth the trouble I encountered with a refurbished product which arrived without a manual (which I was told should have been included, however, it didn't come with my second nano either) or the software referenced on page 50 of the owner's manual. I was told by customer support that they never include the software with the refurbished products. With all of that being said I'm very satisfied with the second nano. The audio quality is excellent!

I recently purchased the Gen 3, 4GB Ipod, I love it!!! I have never owned this kind of product, but I found it easy to use. It did not come with a users manual, but I found it easily online. I would highly recommend this item to anyone.
