The housing of the iPod connector is too large to plug into a device that has a protective case.

I cannot listen to music while it charges because the cable will not plug in while the charger is plugged in, but that is okay. The ipod charges quickly.

Good idea for storage without tangle the cord but it too short and flimsy.

This is the best and cheapest solution I have found instead of buying the I phone expensive charger. It doesn't fray like the I phone they give you when you purchase your I phone. The only thing I could say bad....is that the cord coulc be a little longer, but about same length as original one from I phone. This is awesome!!

I am confused by some of the reviews because I got this cable to use for my iPhone 3GS in the USB plug in my car. it works great both to charge my phone and retracts right into my glove box where it is plugged in. Maybe there were some faulty ones, but mine works great!!! It is cheap enough to give it a try. I am ordering a 2nd one -)

I received the cable about a week ago and pulled to extend it and the plastic cover inside thecable broke apart. I would not recommend this product.

- it is not what I would call High Quality. It is extremely flimsy, but it is also not very expensive. It functions, and that is important. I am not sure how long it will last, but it does work. I would rate it higher if it were either priced cheaper or made better. I was surprised at the connection that goes into the device, being SO flimsy - but so far, so good.

It works. I bought 4 more for my wife and son. They just work and they're small. They unwind and wind exactly as I want, and our iPod Touch and iPhone 3Gs like them.

I bought this for travel. The price was GREAT. Iphone accessories are usually much more expensive. This item does charge my iphone, but it doesn't retract all the way. Also, when I attach it to my phone, I have to make sure it is attached just right, or it doesn't charge.

I was excited to see this item - the concept was great and the price was right. I thought it would come in handy to eliminate some of the extra wire mess when I charge my phone on the night table. It tangled the first time I tried to pull the cord(s) out. Once I had it plugged into the charger adapter and into the phone, it tangled when trying to retract and I was left with a wire that looked worse than the mess I was trying to eliminate. Sorry, I would not recommend this item.

I bought this cord to use with my 1st generation iPhone, and it worked great. It traveled much better than the provided cord from Apple (which coincidentally cracked and was rendered unusable). When I upgraded to the 3GS iPhone it ceased working to charge/sync my phone, but I lent it to my friend to charge up her iPod Nano, and it worked just fine.I'd gladly purchase another (or 2) to use with my newer phone if they ever developed one!

This charger does not work, with either the USB or AC connections. Unfortunately, I bought two of them, to keep at home and at work. It looks like I'll need to buy new ones elsewhere, as I have thrown these away. Save your money.

This only charged my iphone it wouldn't sync and wasn't recognized by my computer.This also has a very short cord and wasn't worth it.

Despite what other reviews said, this is NOT iPhone 3G compatible. The phone registers that it is plugged in but does not actually charge. I am sure it will work fine on my iPods, etc.
