Apple iPhone Camera Lens and Telescope

On the product description, it said "Suitable for any camera phone with 45-72mm width ", but actually it is not suitable for 3G IPHONE though the WIDTH OF 3G IPHONE is no more than 72mm. I phurchased for my friend in China, he told me that he cannot use it on his 3G iphone and felt very embarrassed.

Phewy! Was really disappointed with this product. AND, because I thought it looked great, I EXRPESS shipped. You have to literally hold the phone while taking the picture and case is pretty flimsy. MAYBE, if you had a tripod it would be ok....still would not recommend.

The len does not work on the new Iphone 3g. It made the pictures look like tunnel vision, only the middle showed when you take a picture. It is a good idea and probably works on the original Iphone not the new 3g.

I purchased this item for my wife since she doesn't always like to take the camera with her and we miss those photographic moments with the clarity an i-phone can't offer. Apart from the plastic case with attachment (which has to be the replacement for an existing i-phone cover), the lens by itself is mere 6x optical with manual focus adjustment. There isn't always a good fitting between the plastic case and the lens or the i-phone, which lets some stray light into the picture and blurs it up. Another problem is the short lens - i-phone combo is quite sensitive to vibration/movement since you have to touch the screen of i-phone to click. By the time you see the object, focus and take a picture, it's either blurred or shaky. With multiple attempts of stationary objects, I could get a passable picture. As far as moving objects are concerned, don't even try it. Disappointment is written all over your receipt at that time if you had purchased it. My recommendation: DON'T buy it. Spend a few more dollars and get an average quality point and shoot camera or get a good binocular.

This simple little thing is so cool! You have something so easy to put together,well made and light weight that really works. The only problem I have is it's so sensitive you have to lean up against something solid or your pulse will show in the picture. I've taken beautiful pictures from a quickly moving car of forest fire I was hoping was further away from our house than what the lens showed. Terrific quality pictures from something that cost less than a nice bottle of wine. This was a very good value. I keep the lens & the two hard case pieces in a drawstring sunglasses case. It's easy to find in my purse and the lens & hard case stay clean & safe. But...for a few pennies more a small bag/case would have been icing on the iCake! If you ever add an iPhone tripod that would be great. Once again,I love love love it !
