This is a PERFECT fit for iPhone 3gs. It also works perfectly in my Hyundai Santa Fe, which has slanted vents. My other vent mounts would not work, but this one went on, and the spring loaded "clamps" make it very secure... My iPhone 4 also fits. It is just a tiny bit loose, but in no danger of falling out, just not the perfect fit of the 3gs (which this was made for) I have had mounts that cost 5 times as much that didn't fit as well as this.

The Iphone 3GS will not fix easily into holder. Since the holder is made for use in a vehicle this is a major problem. You will be fighting with the holder all the time to get the phone to snap in and good luck getting it out without breaking something. And the holder will not allow the Iphone to have a protective outer case so this product is totally useless for the most people.

Great setup, but if you have a cover on your phone you will have to take it off in order to use the mount. Once in the mount it holds firmly. The phone is difficult to remove without fear of breaking the mount or the air vent ribs it is attached to. If you are careful this will be fine.
