Does that computer have rough keyboard instead of flat kb?
I purchased the Apple iMAC 24" Core 2 Duo All-in-one Desktop Computer that had been Refurbished. I look at "refurbished" as someone else getting all of the initial kinks out of the product, prior to my purchasing it. However, I am not going into this completely blind either, as I also purchased a three year warranty to go along with the device. When I first received the computer, there was not any paperwork inside the box, no email, etc. describing how to follow-up on the warranty. I immediately called Overstock. The lady, ( well actually a girl) that I spoke with informed me that the warranty was with Apple Care and gave me the phone number for them. She also gave me the phone number for Apple's Warranty Department. She made sure that I wrote down "MY": warranty claim #, order #,and told me to call back if I required more assistance. FIRST OF ALL ....THE WARRANTY IS N-O-T, MAY I REPEAT, N-O-T WITH APPLE CARE, NOR DOES IT HAVE ANY AFFILIATION TO APPLE WHATSOEVER !!!!! The Warranty is an in-depth warranty put out through Overstocks subsidiary company. If they are any good or not, I sure hope I do not ever have to find out for myself ! The misrepresentation really bothers me, as I am still struggling with it as I write this. I still do not have anything in writing from the "warranty " company verifying the 3 year WARRANTY. I LOVE THE iMAC...not too sure about purchasing a "invisible" "3 year" "warranty". How would you feel ?

Excellent product and a great buy. I wanted to upgrade from my Mac Pro to Imac. The Mac Pro was at the end of it's upgrade life but dependable as all Mac products. When the Imac arrived. All I did was unpack it and used the wireless data transfer application and off and running in a few hours. Imac was out of stock for a long time on Overstock so don't let a great product and great buy pass you by.

Great hardware, software not so much The computer looks great - the software is not as billed. We are having to do lots of downloading to fix basic things like iPhoto, and iWorks. It did not load correctly to start off and we had to use a different keyboard. The mouse and keyboard that came with it are not talking to the OS. We will get it sorted out but only because we are pretty literate but since I live in CO and the computer is in CA for my 92 year old dad it's not easy.
