Charger does not work. It gets very hot when plugged in but does not charge.
This item does not charge my new iPod touch. It will however, make it possible for me to play the games I installed while plugged in so I don't run my battery down. The back of the item says "AC adapter" and nothing about charging.
This is a great item. It was purchased as a gift for a repaired iPod, and beats some of the inferior devices. I especially like the fact that the prongs fold flat, making it perfect for traveling.

The charger is great, my only complaint is that the cord is too short, only about 2 1/2 - 3 feet long. Hard to put it on my dresser, or even my night stand. other than that, it works just great.
