The dock seems to work well in my 2002 Tribute. The lighter is in a great position for this dock. I wish the dock would swivel from side to side so I can see the screen better. I only had to use the first setting, 88.1 and the sound seems good. It holds the ipod securely and I don't think it will fall out. It does charge my 5th gen nano.

The first concern you should have with this product is where you will plug it in. I have an Escape with a charger port by the radio so this is perfect for me. The holder will tilt sideways if you have an Ipod touch, and can recline back a bit when up so your Ipod is secure.The only downside with this product is that it has only 5 transmitter settings in the 80's that you select by moving a switch on the side. Mine is so close to the radio that it blocks out interference but this could be a problem for some.Now for the positives! The price is fantastic. My new Ipod would not charge with my old transmitter and I needed an new one. I had been looking for something similar at the local electronics store and they ran for $89 to $149. The sound is good on this one, my husband was really amazed how good it sounded. The product is good, not junky, just remember it is a bit old school, with a little flip switch, no fancy electronics. (It does have big red letters on the foam bed saying the brand, I did not like that and covered it with electrical tape)If you are looking to save some serious money and have a product that works great give this one a try. It arrived four days after I purchased it, as usual Overstock's service is perfect!

This is the second iPod transmitter I've purchased from Overstock. Last one was picked because it was the cheapest. It came apart after a year or so and it was always being washed out by even the weakest competing radio signal. This unit is clearly better built and when I turn it off I often find an FM station hidden behind my iPod music, but not interfering with what I wanted to hear. Satisfied with my purchase.

Transmitter works perfectly with great ease and clairty. We used immediately on road trip. It was very easy to use, delivered as promissed. We Love It!

It worked for a couple days, then it blew the fuse to my car adapter. I bought this twice and it happened both times.

I once bought a similar item at ***** for more than twice the price that sucked. This product is always clear. I never get interference. I love it.

My daughter loves this FM Transmitter we tried a digital version that scanned through channels but depending on where she was in town it would just change the channel. This one works with her Itouch and charges at the same time.

I was disappointed when I received this item. It is very light/cheaply made. It did not come with ANY paperwork at all. It has nothing on it showing it is Apple Certified, and has some generic name on it that I have never heard of. Also, I drive an older car that has the cigarette lighter in a pull out and the stem on the device to plug it in is so long that I can't even plug it in....I could make it work with a mulit plug dc adapter, but seems like a hassle...so, that being said, I haven't actually gotten to listen to it to see if the sound is even any good : ( I will very likely return this item.

I use it in a 03 jeep and it sounds much better than when I use it in a 94 S10. so I guess it depends on the vehicle you are putting it in.

It is great for the price. It is really easy to figure out. You just plug it in and set the channels accordingly. It is very clear. Some parts of town get crackly, but not too bad that you can't listen. It is a great price.

I use my Ipod touch everywhere but did not have the convenience of being able to charge it in the car. I love this now that I can play it over my car stereo. Loved the product the only draw back is my lighter is in a small compartment by the drivers side and i had a little trouble with getting it to enter but other than that great product.

not a bad product, but difficult to use in vehicles with cig. lighter in line with transmission selector/gear shift. Only has one adjustment for angle of unit. May be perfect for some , but most will find it a bit of a problem.

This product claims to work for all iPods, but it does NOT work with older ones. I have a second-generation iPod with a dead battery and must be hooked up to a charger at all times in order to operate. Forget transmitting, it doesn't even deliver power to my iPod! It also does not fit into my lighter port properly. I have a 2000 Buick Century, and the lighter port is recessed underneath my AC/Heater controls. The iPod frame is hitting my AC controls, and there's still a good inch before the plug reaches the outlet. If it was longer and had a ball-and-socket joint in addition to the joint it already has, it would work. In short, this item is useless with the car I have. And even if it worked with the car I have, it is useless with the iPod I have.

I purchased this item so I could listen to my iPod in my car. When I received it, it was disappointing to find out that it had 4 pre-set stations and could not get any others. The sound quality was horrible because all of the pre-sets had stations tuned to them. Had problems with charging also. Sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't. Not a good buy.

Don't think it twice ...this is the first time IM so satisfied with an FM transmitter , there is no interference,,very easy to handle , Excellent quality ,clear sound , better then any FM transmitter I ever bought in the Big brand name Stores.... You wont regret it!

I love this product SO MUCH that I had two of my best friends order it as well! They are also very impressed with it also. I had spent a lot more money on a transmitter that was less quality. The sound is great and there is NO WAY you can beat the price!!!

I really like the radio, work well for me the channel selection is also good I only get a little interferance when I'm driving thru downtown Atlanta.

really like this product. i have it in my heavy duty truck and it doesnt bounce out when i drive even on rough roads. on a 4 hour trip i didnt have to change the station once, no static whatsoever. the only thing i would change is that it would have a digital display of the station. i recommend this and for the price, its a great buy.

This apple certified transmitter is bulky, interferes with gear handles of the car. Reception is noisy and there is continuous static. Once plugged in Ipod is difficult to access. In order to access, one has to take their eyes off the road, hazardous situation. I returned this item because of all of the above.
