I wanted to purchase an iPod that would replace my old classic model which I purchased Bose speakers for. The price of a refurbished was easier on the pocketbook and had more memory than my last one. It seemed to work fine, but I was disappointed that it wouldn't recharge in the speaker's docking station like my old one and then I found out the earphone jack didn't work either. So I'll be sending it back unfortunately. Otherwise, it would have been an alright purchase.

I love this iPod! I'm a college student so I'm pretty dependent on my iPod for concentration and sanity. I had two other iPod's before this one: an iPod classic with photos (i accidentally fried the hardware), an 8 GB iPod video nano (someone in high school stole it), and now this one. I really don't do a whole lot of online shopping, but when I saw the price of this iPod I couldn't resist! Honestly, I was a bit sketchy about the whole "refurbished" deal, but I called Overstock Customer Service and they were really helpful in telling me the whole truth about refurbished products. I was surprised that a site like Overstock carried "old" iPod models, but this was just the iPod I've been looking for- lots of memory with a little price. I recieved my iPod about a week after I ordered it, so the shipping time wasn't bad at all. Anyway, the iPod is practically brand new and fabulous! I can tell someone messed with it because the 'music' choice on the main menu had been removed, but it works just fine. It holds all of my 3,000+ songs and videos with ease, it looks great (there were hardly any marks on it), and it really is perfect for me. Plus, if you can find a coupon for it, the price is unbelieveable! I bought it with shipping for 150. Incredible! I'm shopping with Overstock from now on :)

For the price paid, I am very dissatisfied with this product. The screen was completely scratched and the overall IPOD was dirty and had blemishes all the way around. Only one of the sides of the headphones works. It is worth it to pay a little bit more for new. I would definitely never buy refurbished again.

Bought this for one of my twins; she complains that it freezes. Although we have phone tech support for 2 months, this hasn't been helpful and we've both been disappointed and want to return the item to buy her a new one.

Mine died about 50 days into ownership. I thought it would be repaired because I just bocught it but Apple says the warranty goes back to the original purchase date over two years ago. So, the apple warranty ofes not apply to remaufactured ipods. BEWARE!

The Item I purchased from Overstock, was unfortantly a birthday gift for my mom, that turned out to be a flop. It was very embaressing to see my mom try to listen to an IPOD that would'nt come on. I then had to return the item, and continue to wait for a refund to try to get a very, very, late birthday gift. In which I am still waiting. This was a big dissapointment.

This is a great piece of technology. I have the larger size and bought this one as a gift for a friend. iPod's are the best and Overstock delivers fast. The price was under all the other retailers and even the online stores. I don't know how they do it...but its great.

The ipod had scratches on the video screen when it is turned on- this is the second electronic item I have bought refurbished that is broken- NOt the way to go!!!

I received my iPod about 10 days after I ordered it. I was a little scared since the site did say it was reconditioned. But, when i opened the box it looked practically brand new. With the instructions I was able to quickly download 4 albums. the sound is awesome and it is very easy to use. I love my iPod. Gone are the days of carring that bulky CD player.

I was kinda worried buying a used IPOD but I'm very impressed! IPOD arrived one week after I orded it and looks brand new except a few scratches on the back; but I also bought a cover so you can't tell. Works wonderfully, would highly recommend to anyone. VERY PLEASED!

I received this item and it was all scratched up, and it did not work because the incorrect USB cable was sent with it. The earphones sent were in terrible shape, they were chewed up by somebody, there were tooth marks all over them. I had to hire someone to try to fix the item and he told me to purchase a new USB cable which I did as well as new ear buds. All of the money I spent between the technician, USB cable and earbuds have cost me more than the purchase of a brand new iPod. I am extremely disappointed especially since this website was recommended by a friend.

I bought a reconditoned Ipod. i took it out of the plastic, downloaded all my songs, and now it shuts off before it starts to play. SO my suggestion would be to spend the extra money and get a new one so that you have some kind of warrenty.
