Flimsy. The Aluminum is very thin and the closure does not stay locked. The case does not include any kind of protection for the screen either. I would not recommend this product and if I could return, would do so.

I HAVE PURCHASED THREE OF THESE ALUMINUM CASES AND MY FAMILY LOVES THEM! THEY ARE AN AWESOME VALUE AND EVEN COME WITH A HOLDER FOR OVER YOUR NECK FOR WHEN YOU ARE WORKING OUT OR WALKING THE DOG,I HAVE TRIED OTHER CASES AND HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY WITH THEM. THIS CASE PROTECTS THE IPOD ENTIRELY PLUS,LOOKS AWESOME! IT IS DURABLE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE CASE ON AND OFF TO CHARGE IT OR PLAY IT IN YOUR STEREO, GREAT COLORS TOO!!!!!!

I ordered this case so I could have my ipod nano generation 4 (chromatic) hang from my neck so I wasn't always fishing it out of my pocket. (I am really mad at apple and all apple accessory companies for not making a headphone-lanyard-necklace for this ipod version - - it is such a no-brainer, but for some reason they refuse to make such a simple, practical product.) While this doesn't have an integrated headphone-necklace (you just have to use regular headphones with it and deal with the usual, cord-tangling-related problems), it basically does the job. I appreciate that the case is lined with a very thin layer of neoprene or some kind of rubber so that my nano will not get scratched... it opens and closes very easily, is effortless to remove your nano if you want to (but you don't need to, you can access all the controls and inputs with it in the case.) I am bummed that it hides the nano so essentially it is not for "displaying" your nano if you want to (it covers the inscription that is on the back of mine... and the case-color is not as nice as the actual nano color and finish) but I am opting for practicality - - this won't satisfy the design snob in you but if you just want something that protects your nano and allows it to hang around your neck, this works great.

I love that this case protects my entire ipod. The screen and the body. It also comes with a handy cord so when I don't have pockets I can put this around my neck. I also love the fact it is the exact color as my ipod, or I can change colors. Still totally functional and accessable controls. A great buy.
