Altec Lansing BXR1121 Stereo Speaker System, is a must have for those who want to hear the difference in quailty speakers.

The process of ordering and receiving the speaker system went very well. The sound quality of the speakers is quite good for the price. They replaced a Creative product that failed. Installation was very straightforward. These speakers are nice looking in the all black. All-in-all, a good experience.

The sound of this speaker set is good-though you could probably find a better value for this discontinued set. I was hoping this speaker set would be a good, inexpensive replacement set. When I got the speakers (flash delivery as usual!), the box was missing instructions, and more importantly, missing the cord that connects the speaker set to the computer. I'm glad that I knew how to set up the speakers, and very glad I kept the cord from my old system.

Was shocked to see order arrive in less that 24 hours after placing online. Great sound for the price. Neither tinny nor muddy as associated with other low priced computer speakers. Installed quite easily.

I got more than I expected for my money. Super easy to connect and the sound is really great for the price. I use skype to chat with my kids out of state children and the sound quality is great. I have also enjoyed many hours of listening to my itunes playlist!

This system,a Christmas gift,is fed from a Creative Sound Blaster card,the plain vanilla one.Using both volume controls,I can make it distort,but it has plenty of headroom to listen to classical and jazz at performance volume.--timbre.good--imaging,better than I expected,but not great.--frequency extremes,treble is OK. I had to play with the crossover frequency on the audio card to get the bass right,but it's OK now.--dynamic range,MUCH better than I expected.I'm happy and would purchase these if they had not been a gift.

I bought these speakers as a replacement of old ones for my computer. They are much more than I expected. Excellent sound quality for the purpose. Works well with listening to music or watching a movie on my PC. Sound volume is loud enough and fills the room of my home office. Handy auxillary input for listening to my ipod/mp3 as well as headphone. The only fault I have is the power switch is on the back of the subwoofer. This is hidden under my desk out of the way. To turn it on I have to go under the desk on my knees to power it on. To avoid that you will have to place it for easy access. Subwoofers are meant to be hidden. Otherwise a great product as usual from Altec Lansing.

EXCELLENT! if you want to BUMP your WHOLE house then dont get this. If you want to "BUMP" your room, then this is for you. Love it!. DEFINATELY good for the price. would reccomend it to everyone.

This set of speakers is so awesome for the price! I take my music seriously and can honestly say I love the sound; it's very clear and fairly loud, wich is what I wanted. There's a bit of distortion every now and then but I think it's because of the fact that I still don't know how to adjust the bass/treble according to a certain music genre and whatnot... so, basically, I need to get the hang of it before I get the full performance. I'm very happy with my purchase and the only reason why I give it 4 stars is the fact that I do believe it could be louder still; but don't get me wrong, it will be loud enough for most of you :) Now if you like it super-loud, walls vibrating, windows shattering, then you might need a set with more power than this one.

If you are an audiophile, maybe these aren't for you. But, if you just need a functional set of speakers that do better than the speakers included with your Dell or eMachine, these are it!

I Love my Speakers, I Love my Speakers did I say I Love my Speakers!!. These Altec Lansing Speakers are great, my previous pair (Beige) I owned for about eight years. I chose Black to match my NEW computer system and this set has the feature to attach your ipod real cool feature the previous pair did not have. They are really great, place the pair a good distance from each other and you will be smiling and tapping your toes when your favorite song come on. I read a few of the reviews I really already knew that Altec Lansing are good speakers so the decision was easy, and so glad I did chose Altec Lansing again you will also ...... Now if anyone asks tell them I said they are a Suberb Sound!!!!! P.S. You will NOT be dissapointed...........................Asilkwah
