i bought this because in the description it said it worked for the iphone 3g and it dosen't. Just make sure to read all of the reviews. I also gave it to my friend to have because he has an ipod and he said it was very staticy and he could not move it more than a couple feet from the radio before he lost all sound.
I am so happy with this transmitter. It saves the station you used last once you turn it off. It lights up when you push a button, making it easy to see what channel you're on. The only thing I don't like is when you turn your mp3 player off, it is still on using the mp3 player's battery. So you just have to unplug it. However, it is nice how it charges the mp3 player at the same time as transmitting the music.
Easy to program and sounds clear. However, there are areas that it's not working properly.
This product was purchased for our older Mercedes, since it does not have a cd player, or Ipod attachment. It woks great in Hawaii, but not so good in Southern Ca. ( to Many used station frequencies)

Until we get a newer car with an iPod hookup, we will continue to use this transmitter to save us from being at the mercy of broadcasters. The shortcoming is that in NYC the radio market is saturated, so we have to change frequencies every couple of miles. In a rural area, it's more like every 30 miles. The sound quality through this is okay -- comparable to a fairly distant FM station, I suppose. Having said all that, this has been a great investment. We use it with an iPod Classic that will charge from dead to full in about 45 minutes while using this setup (while running). Once charged, it will play through the transmitter for at least 4 hours before needing another charge. Only gripe (other than the need to detach the unit to spare the battery) is that the transmitter does not seat with a click and can be knocked loose easily.

Just like the title says, it's a great little buy. Typical of the FM transmitters, the sound quality kinda sucks but for the price you can't beat it. I've purchased other transmitters that were easily 4 times more expensive and the sound quality is the same. It won't compare to a USB hardline but it is what it is.

For the price its a decent buy, but I wouldn't get one again. Works really well as long as it stays together, but after about 6 months of regular use the power cord fell apart.

This simple little fm transmitter worked great for one roadtrip, then it never worked again.

plug it in and go. charges your ipod while you listen to the radio. it remembers last station you set it to. charging tip does not go in all the way, don't force it! pretty high power transmission. I'd buy it again.

I use this item when I don't have an iPod access in a vehicle for travel. It does a great job for me and I haven't had any major problems with sound quality. I think it is a nice alternative if you like your tunes on the go and you don't have a iPod accessory in your vehicle. I do recommend using this product with care because it is made of plastic. Also, I was not able to connect the transmitter while I had my cover case on my iPod as it wouldn't fit comfortably.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Product is made of plastic so not that durable
This thing did not even work. Followed all the instructions. Guess this is why it was so cheap.
this thing works great! i love using it in the car.
this item worked for a couple months and now does not charge anymore. the main reason i purchased it was so that it would charge my iphone while i listened to music. when i first bought it i had to take a road trip and had problems using it during that road trip. the fm station had to be constantly retuned as i got further and further away from my location and the charging was not working fully either, so it would interrupt the GPS system. i think that the item is poorly made and i shouldn’t be that surprised for the little money i paid for it, particularly after seeing what other wireless charging am/fm transmitter’s cost. i would not recommend this purchase to anyone else.
While we didn't expect much for the price, as long as you find a very low static station, you can get the songs to play on the radio. The issue is - that if you cover the Transmitter, or it is not in direct line of the radio- it will be very low volume and you will hear the static again. otherwise, good buy for the money.
This worked very poorly and i couldn't even establish a steady clear connection to the radio.
delivery was quite fast and the product was up to my expectations.
You definitely get what you pay for. Product always has static with it on different stations. You can probably use it to charge your phone right quick if you don't have a charger in your car.
