The Media player,was sold as a new unit.I made sure it did not say it was return or used . When I got it, and it was turned on it had two songs in it ,this was not a new device,I paid for a new one ,and did not get it. It was a gift and could not take it back and return it.

I purchased this player before Christmas thinking I was going to get a great deal. In fact once I got the video working, I am quite pleased with the purchase. That being said, it took a little research and the help of my techie brother to make this work.
Downloading files in the popular MPG-4 format (which is almost standard these days) didn't help me. For some reason the proprietary software, which is required for conversion, can't convert MPG-4 files. To make the system work I had to install a freeware program that made my MPG-4 files into VCD files before I could then convert the VCD files into the correct file format for the player. The user manual didn't mention any of this. If you don't mind doing some file conversions before use, this is your player.
