Limited Usage
from Modesto, CA,  Feb 7, 2008

Unfortuanely, these stands come up short on stability and mounting options and I therefore had to return same. My 4lb Energy Takes did not properly fit on or attach to the single L bracket. The base is rather small, only 8.25" in dia., and there are no spikes which would help stability on carpet. More mounting bracket options would also help. I would recommend these for use only with very light-weight speakers, like the Bose Acoustimass type.

I like the looks, but......
from Vancouver Wa.,  Sep 4, 2011

Cast iron base plate not threaded at the top so they cannot be assembled. I will need to take to work to correct. If you don`t have access to a tap set and handle, you may be out of luck

  • How did the image on site compare with the actual product? ok
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? No
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Stand screws into the base, or it would if the base was threaded correctly

Good Review title
from Kansas City, KS,  Mar 20, 2012

Although the stands were to hold speakers up to 22lbs, I had to purchase screws to attach my speakers to the stands. My system is 12 years and the speakers are a larger dimension that the current models. But I like the stands and they were an excellent price for the pair.

quality problem
from Long Beach CA,  Oct 28, 2011

I was excited to receive my order. However, when I went to put the stands, base and upright, together, it became evident that the threads on one of the pair was defective. I investigated using a 'tap and die' to redo the threads and went to my local ACE dealer. They determned that the threads were 'compression threads'. Tap and die sets are not made for those threads are not made. I requested a replacement and infomed they did not have any to swap out. So, I requested a return label and shipped both stands back.

  • How did the image on site compare with the actual product? same
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Major defect. The threads on one of the stands were wrong. After investigating, I found that I could not correct and requested a replacement on the defective stand. I was informed that they did not have any more of this item. So I requested a return label and shipped back for credit.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Poor maching on the threads of one of the stands.

Poor quality
 from CA,  Aug 30, 2011

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it's poorly constructed with cheap materials. Looks ugly in my living room. I guess you get what you paid for :(.

speaker stands
from Dry Fork VA,  Aug 20, 2011

The only way I was able to use these speaker stands is I'm a machinist. If not I would not have been able to put together. The pole with threads that screw into base would not work as was. The base was not threaded completely through, with the top side that pole screwed into not being threaded. Threads not conventional so no tap or die would work. Had to countersink to get to threads. Ok for small speakers if you are able to assemble. You could be wasting time and money if you don't have resources to repair if needed. Another great product from CHINA I would think.

Exactly what I need!
from Topeka, KS,  Aug 10, 2011

I didn't want to put holes in the wall and string the wire through the walls. These stands are places behind couches and the wires are hidden and it makes the speakers look good.Very easy to set up and spool the wires through the stands. Just remember to go through the hole in the stand first!

Adjustable Satellite/ Home Theater Speaker Stands. Very stable with heavy base for small to reasonably large speaker mounting. Come with pre-installed pull wire to enable easy pulling of speaker cables through the poles ensuring a neat appearance. Appear to be of high quality materials. Very happy with the product and price.

Great Product
from Belleville, IL,  Mar 21, 2009

Easy to put together and the string running through the center makes it a snap to fish the speaker wire through the stand. Make sure you put the base on first! Holds my 4x4x8 speakers just fine.

We love these stands for the price. They are very sturdy. IIt was a little difficult fitting the speakier wire inside the adjustable poles but with patience you can do it.

Easy assembly
 from california,  Dec 3, 2007

It was pretty easy to assemble, there was a guide wire to pull speaker wires through the pole, so as to hide them... took about 15 mins from begining to end.

My only complaint is that my Monster wire can't be run through the pole. I just wrapped it around the outside and it was fine. they are the perfect hight, just above the couch.

Good
from Huntington Beach, CA,  Sep 3, 2007

The telescoping pole is a great feature. We were able to put them at just the right height for listening and blend it in with surrounding furnishings. It was a little difficult to get the wire through the hole at the top of the pole, we had to get a pair of needle nose plyers to get the it around the bend.
