bottom line, it does what it's suppose to Even though it works and does what it's supposed to do, it certainly not as great a product as I was hoping for. I purchased this for a friend (the keyboard on his laptop would literally reach temps between 90-120 degrees - pretty darn uncomfortable) and though all of the keys functioned there were a few problems that made me wonder if I'll ever buy a flexible type again. 1) it holds it's pre-packed shape seemingly indefinitely... it's been a few months now of having it flat on a counter and you would think it would start to loosen up a bit. It hasn't and does a great impression of a wave. 2) key depression. If you're used to typing on a laptop you'll know that keys depress a very small amount, but you can press the whole key and know you're going to get the letter with little to no effort. The nob under each key that actually presses down on the board is roughly 1/4" in diameter and unless you press that nob down vertically, you can expect some pretty inconsistent results. So there is a learning curve for typing on this specific device, and if this is what you must get, it will probably fill that niche pretty well. Just beware, there are a couple hangups. On a side note, I can normally type 100-110 words a minute, but with this keyboard and it's very specific way you need to press the buttons down, my speed drops to around 60-70wpm. To the average person that isn't typing a lot, this isn't much. I tend to do a lot of social activities, and much work on the laptop... if ever I had to worry about getting a separate keyboard device I'm pretty sure I would go with a cheap hard keyboard over this flexible type.
