I'm a big fan of Chromebooks, and this is my go-to travel laptop. It's compact and light, but the 11.6" screen is big enough to be legible. The Broadwell Celeron 3205U processor is one of the faster ones (significantly faster than the Bay Trail N2840 and similar processors), returning a Google Octane score in the 13000 range. Battery life is excellent, around 7-8 hours with moderate use. Build is nothing to write home about, but as with all Acer Chromebooks, the plastic feels sturdy. Keyboard could use a bit more tactile feedback, but it's still better than the standard Logitech keyboard I have on my PC. Speakers are pretty weak, which is not surprising--it's much better with Bluetooth speakers, or connected to the stereo system via Chromecast. If you're in the market for an 11.6" Chromebook, this is definitely one to look at. It can be a little hard to find, though--glad I found one at O.co!

    • I have an Acer C720 that has been very reliable and was a great value. However, I found that the 2 GB of RAM it had was becoming too small for my use, so I wanted to get the C740 with 4 GB of RAM, as well as the faster Celeron 3205U processor.
