Accessories
These items are called portable CD and DVD accessories because, they say, this is stuff you don't absolutely need. Who are "they" kidding? Don't "they" understand how electronics works? Consumer electronics are not always sold in final form. We, consumers, expect to personalize our audio and video (that's the "consumer" part of "consumer electronics"). Buying a portable CD player or portable DVD player without fun add-ons is like buying a CD player or DVD player without buying CDs or DVDs. What kind of fools do "they" take us for? (Probably the kind that shops retail, instead of saving up to 70 percent at Overstock.com!)
"They" say take your mobile video and music players at face value. Come now, how many of us have a cracked jewel CD case or wrinkled plastic DVD case? All of us, and we don't like it. New CD cases and DVD cases are inexpensive; everybody should buy extras to keep audio and video collections looking good on the shelf. If you have to carry a lot of CDs or DVDs, a CD holder or DVD holder is just the thing for keeping your discs orderly and protected. "They" probably never thought of this.
"They" probably figure we have an unlimited supply of batteries for our CD-MP3 player, boombox, car DVD player, etc. "They" are wrong. We have 12-volt DC adapters for the cigarette lighter to power our CD players and DVD players and keep the entertainment flowing when we're driving. "They" probably think one little speaker is good enough. "They" are nuts! A set of surround sound speakers and audio cables and we have a party when we're home. Maybe "they" don't think about the CDs and DVDs we buy for our CD players and DVD players, but we do. We buy them in the Overstock.com entertainment store. Don't know why people keep repeating, "They say that…"
"They" aren't really that smart and we should not be listening to them. Who are "they" anyway? "They" are probably the people who buy at the mall, instead of online shopping at Overstock.com, where the whole order ships for just $2.95 every day.
