Answering Machine deletes last 5 seconds of msg This phone system has two major flaws - the first and most annoying is that it ignores keypresses. For anyone that like to dial with any bit of speed the phone actually misses button presses - even though they are deliberate if you dial 4 numbers in a row one of the numbers will not show up - and this is on multiple phones, not just one. The other issue is with the answering machine - multiple problems here - the most important is that the last 5 seconds are missing from every voicemail so when someone leaves their telephone number or extension - you never get the entire number - plus for 4 lines there is only ONE answering machine - you also can not delete messages individually you must delete them all or none (you can forward them to other extensions). The reception is superior especially with the long range extender but the keystroke and answering machine makes this system impossible to receive any decent rating - I am in the IT and communications filed and have read the instructions and spolke with AT&T on these issues they do exist so beware!
