Utilizing the power of DOCSIS 3.0, the SB6141 enables channel bonding of up to eight downstream channels and four upstream channels, which allows an operator to offer its customers advanced multimedia services with data rates of over 300 Mbps for received data and over 100 Mbps when sending data.

Easy to set up and activate I bought this modem so I could avoid the $5.99/month charge TWC recently put on my 10 year old cable modem...that had been "free" until then. Set up and activation was easy. I dropped by my TWC retail outlet and asked for a "free modem install kit." This is just a cable splitter and a couple of coax cables. I needed this because I had TWC "landline" telephone service and had to keep my original "free" modem to use the VOIP telephone service. Just connect the cable coming out of the wall to one side of the splitter and connect the new SB modem to one splitter output and the old modem to the other splitter output. Then transfer the wireless router cable from the old modem to the new one and set up was done. When I powered up the new modem and opened a browser on my computer a screen came up automatically with a telephone number for me to call TWC to "activate" the new modem. I called the number and talked to a nice lady who asked me for the numbers off my new modem and activated it. Simple. Anyone can do it. I bought a SB6141 because it has a great reputation, allows me to upgrade my internet speed and is reasonably priced.
