The prices on 16gb SDHC cards have gotten low enough that they're a no brainer for point-and-shoot cameras. My 10MP camera can now store something like 5600+ pictures at full resolution. The advantage for me is that I can take the camera on an extended vacation, and all I have to do is recharge the battery in order to take as many pictures as I want. I don't have to bring a laptop or external device to offload pictures. This card plugged right in and worked with zero effort.
I ordered this from Overstock because the same thing at my camera store was $179.00. I wanted to use it on a trip with my grandchildren to Hawaii because I realized I couldn't download like I am used to doing after each day and my memory (2GB) was too small to hold all the photos, especially on Large and Super Fine settings. The camera shows that I can have more than 8,000 photos with this 16GB. Took pictures of my father's 94th birthday recently and all the pictures were great and downloaded in a flash. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
