Customer Reviews
I bought this for my husband who could not find this part anywhere. I have bought many different things from Overstock and could not be happier with each purchase. My husband is ecstatic to have his laptop up and running smoothly again. He is very happy with this hard drive's performance.
I resurrected my iPod using this hard drive. Formerly my iPod was a 40GB model, but the hard drive recently failed. I'm very satisfied with this 60GB drive. It replaced the 40GB drive perfectly, and obviously, it's great to have 50% more capacity. The iPod recognized the additional capacity with no problem. I gave the value only 4 stars simply because the version of the same drive with the ZIF connector was $20 less than the version I needed ... otherwise value would have been 5 stars. Ease of installation got only 3 stars, but that's because I needed to open my iPod to install the disk ... it really had nothing to do with the disk itself. Since I purchased special tools to open my iPod, that wasn't all that difficult either. I originally ordered the wrong part ... the model I ordered by mistake had a ZIF connector (and was $20 cheaper than the model I ultimately installed). Overstock took it back and refunded my money except for the return shipping cost. I thought that to be very fair. I have no complaints with Overstock.com.
I Installed this in my Dell Latitude X1 after my old hard drive seemed to be getting ready to die. It uses a very unusual connector, but this worked.
