7 year old loves it!
scheff  from SL, UT,  Sep 1, 2009
I bought this for my 7 year old daughters birthday and she LOVES it! The controls took her a little while to get used to because they are a little confusing and temperamental.

not happy with the item. the earphones broke the second use. the screen was so small and hard to read. the instructions were not easy to follow..had my son take it to put in music because I could not figure it out.. he said there was no way to know who you would be playing. you just had to go throught all the songs to find one you wanted...so much static on the radio you could hardly hear.So not happy, son is going to buy me another one and better ear phones and give mine to his son to mess with...in all a bad buying experience.

MP3 Player
someonesfullname  from St. Louis,  Jul 13, 2009
I had bought a different MP3 player from Overstock.com before. I couldn't get it to operate, or even to stay on, so I returned it. That process was a little bit time-consuming, but Overstock.com did eventually refund my payment. So then I selected this unit - still a much better price than I would have found in a bricks-and-mortar store. The operating manual of this unit is written in plain, comprehensible English, although charts on pages 10 & 11 that are supposed to show what different buttons do don't indicate which button is being discussed. Revision necessary. I haven't tried playing the radio or recording voice on it yet, but I got someone half my age to try working the audio playback, and so now I can do that. Acoustic quality is so-so - it'll be better when I get to professionally-recorded music. And I still have to learn how to control which selection I'm hearing. So I'm still in the process of learning, but I DID shop price, and maybe got what I shopped for.

My favorite tag-a-long
stormyann  from Biloxi, MS,  Jul 12, 2009
I love this MP3 player. It was so easy to download music onto it. There was no need to hook anything up to download music. The sound is amazing, but I do suggest getting a better pair of headphones. I bought a great pair for under $10.00.For how cheap this player was, everything is amazing. I bought a MP3 player for $80.00 a month ago and it has not worked correctly since the first day I got it. This player may have been cheap, but nothing on it seems cheap.I would definitely recommend this player to all my friends and anyone else looking to get a GREAT player for little cost.

convenient

We ordered this to use at our party, very nice to download the songs, plug into our stereo system and put behind the bar, no one knew where the music was coming from and there were no CD's to scratch, change, or mess with, perfect for a party.

Not for Mac
peterpun  from Pacific Grove, CA,  Jul 1, 2009
I can't rate this higher, as I don't know if it works or not.The description page doesn't mention any required OS. I bought it on the chance it was mac friendly. It is not. It is for PC Only. Hopefully this helps the next person looking for a music recorder for his mac. iRiver is the only one that is, and the ifp series only.

Not Bad...
txspark  from San Antonio, TX,  Jun 7, 2009
This MP3 player is nothing fancy, but, if you're looking for a simple player, it should do just fine...I tried using the record function to record a meeting...I left it in my shirt pocket, and I was surprised at how good the recording turned out...I don't have a lot of recordings (or MP3's) on it, so, I can't comment yet on how well it is to manuever around files....but, for my needs, I am pleased with it...

Everything was wonderful, except for instructions. Young people understand things, but people in their 70s need more help.

MP3 Player
me2too  from Colorado,  Jun 3, 2009
I found this MP3 player a great value for the money. I do not need all of the fancy gizmos so this was a perfect choice. The sound quality is more than acceptable and very easy to operate. The only thing I do not like are the earbuds. They really hurt my ears and I had to purchase another set that are more comfortable.

These are cheap, hard to use, and stopped working after two months. Yuch. What a waste of money.

MP3 Player Cumbersome
sakm  from Staten Island, NY,  May 24, 2009
For the price it's okay. The sound quality is good. FM tuner mode is easy to operate . To operate the MP3 player and get it to a song you want is awkard and annoying ( you feel like you're pushing buttons forever).

Although this MP3 Player appears to be an excellent value for the money, I was quite disappointed in the instruction booklet. The only feature I could figure out on my own was how to operate the FM tuner. I needed to call a friend to come and tutor me on how to connect, download, and perform other operations. If you purchase this item, be ready to get help using it unless you are a very tech savy individual.

You Get What You Pay For
wurship7  from Easton.PA,  May 14, 2009
This was my First experience with a MP3 player. I liked that i could load large audio files in minuets, where it would take hours to burn CD's of the same quantity. When listening to voice playback files, the battery lasted several days, but when i played music files, that drew the battery down quickly. It refused to start after putting in a new battery. I had to search through a whole pack of new batteries to find one that it would accept. Now, replacing my second drained battery, it's now stuck on start. Now it won't get past the initiation screen from a fresh start. Now, I have to return it.

Lemon?
margek  from Longmont, CO,  May 9, 2009
I purchased the 2GB MP3 Player/ Voice Recorder/ FM Tuner but have difficulty forwarding to another album. It seems like I have to listen to everything in the current album and then forward, song by song by song to get to the next. If there is a directory where I can choose from, I don't know how to access it.My headset only gets sound from one side... yes, I could go and purchase another set (which I probably will) but it's a drag.Sorry to be such a downer about this. I've always used Sandisk mp3 products before and probably will in the future.I do like the fact that it's red, so it's easier to find in my gym bag. I also like the easy way I can plug it into my pc to load up songs.
