works okay (at 1080i or less)
I put no, that I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend, but that's not 100% true. If they only needed 720p or 1080i then this cable is fine. When it comes to 1080p, its a no go for me. I have a short HDMI cable going from my PS3 to my Sony str-da3600es receiver. I then have this 25' HDMI connecting the receiver to the TV. Now if I have the receiver on and allow the PS3 to automatically pick the resolution and audio output options, it picks 1080p and for audio all of the linear pcms, dobly options, dts, etc. With these selected, no picture will appear on the tv (or will briefly but the TV then lists no signal and then a random.invalid format). Now, if I set the audio option to only linear pcm 2-channel, then the 1080p picture shows, but with a bunch of "red snow". The only way to get a decent.picture is doing 1080i or 720p (with any audio option). It appears the cable can't handle the bandwidth and/or is having too much signal loss. I ended up going to a local shop who someone I know owns and picking up a 25' cable at their cost. Hopefully the new cable works better, though removing my hangers and re-fishing the HDMI isn't going to be fun with the way this older house is setup.
