Double the battery life...double the size.
The battery is twice the capacity of the original that came with my computer (6 cell), which was only lasting for a short while recently. This battery is double the capacity. However, if you travel with your laptop often, this may not be a good battery for you. It adds about 3/4 inch of height to the bottom of the computer and substantial weight. This is not an issue for me, as I do not travel with my laptop often, and I would rather have the longer run time on battery for when I am out in the field (I often need it in places for work where there is no electricity, so if my battery dies, I have to leave and come back another day).

Good replacement
Getting about 3.5 hours of heavy use per charge, considerably better than the original cell that came with my HP 4600 series. Like that it raises the back of the laptop to be at a more comfortable angle for extended typing. Only draw back is that the battery fits a little loose. Not a problem, but noticeable.
