I have not opened this particular Xyron cartridge yet, but I have been using Xyron adhesives for years, and find my Xyron machine, and the different cartridges you can get with it, indispensable for all my craft uses. I use mostly the archival, permanent adhesive cartridge, although I've occasionally used the adhesive/laminate and the temporary adhesive cartridges. The adhesive sticks well, covers the entire piece that you run through the machine -- and -- you can run through pieces that are quite thick: ribbon, buttons, etc. Just be careful: once you place the piece, it's down for good with the permanent adhesive! I use a stylus to trace around the edges of my pieces once they are laid out on the Xyron adhesive paper. That way the edges of the piece don't collect little "balls" of adhesive that will appear on the surface of the piece. I am very messy at gluing, and find the Xyron quick and neat, and especially efficient for "mass production" using many pieces.
I ordered EXACTLY what we wanted but received XYRON laminating film that was NOT. Impossible to tell by reading label that product would not perform job we needed. The laminating cartridges were ordered for an out of the country mission project. Not until use was discovery made that the received cartridges were not LAMINATING FOR BOTH SIDES, but LAMINATING FOR ONE SIDE AND MAKING A STICKER OF THE REVERSE SIDE.
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? image WAS what ordered
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? obviously not accurate
