Wheeled Glass Nippers

I installed two rows of 1" glass tiles as an accent above a backsplash. Since I only needed to trim a few tiles to fit in the corners, I got these nippers in hopes of avoiding having to drag out my wet saw. They did what I needed them to do, but not necessarily easily or perfectly. It was good enough for the corners, but the cuts may not be straight enough for an area where it would be noticed. I wouldn't want to do more than a few tiles with them either. I have only used them on the small glass tiles that are fairly thick, so they might work much better on larger, but thinner tiles. If you want to try them, one tip I discovered through trial and error is that if you do your tile cutting and smoothing inside a plastic zip-top bag, you can still see what you're doing but it keeps the flying glass shards confined. Of course you should still wear safety glasses!
